About Ida Engberg

Ida Engberg, born on July 1, 1984, is a celebrated Swedish techno DJ and producer whose career spans over two decades of dedication to electronic music. She began spinning vinyl at just 13 years old, playing at a local youth center in Stockholm. What started as a youthful passion quickly transformed into a professional career when she stepped in for another DJ at 18, leading to a residency at one of Stockholm’s premier clubs, Spy Bar. Her move to Ibiza in 2006 marked a pivotal period where she refined her music production skills, further expanding her artistic range.

Upon returning to Sweden, Engberg secured a residency at the infamous Cocktail Club in Stockholm, deepening her roots in the techno scene. Her international breakthrough came with the single "Disco Volante" (2007), which gained considerable acclaim across Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. The track's popularity surged further thanks to a renowned remix by Sébastien Léger released in 2008, solidifying her status on the global stage.

Over the years, Ida Engberg has become a staple at major electronic music festivals worldwide, known for her distinctive, captivating techno sets. She was married to fellow Swedish DJ Adam Beyer, with whom she has three children; their quiet divorce was revealed in 2023. As a committed artist and vegan, Engberg remains an influential and enduring presence within the electronic dance music community.
