About Kashmir

Kashmir is a pioneering Danish alternative and progressive rock band formed in Copenhagen in 1991. Comprised of Kasper Eistrup (vocals, guitar), Mads Tunebjerg (bass), and Asger Techau (drums), the group quickly distinguished themselves with a unique sound that fuses heavy rock, electronica, and rich orchestral arrangements. Their breakthrough came with the critically acclaimed album "The Good Life" (1999), which earned multiple Danish Music Awards and firmly established Kashmir as a major force in the Nordic music scene.

Building on this success, Kashmir continued to evolve through albums like "Zitilites" (2003) and "No Balance Palace" (2005). These records highlight the band’s bold experimentation by marrying classical instrumentation with powerful rock foundations. Notably, "No Balance Palace" features collaborations with influential artists, including the legendary David Bowie, underscoring Kashmir’s stature within the wider music community.

Renowned for creating atmospheric, cinematic soundscapes and introspective lyrics, Kashmir’s music resonates with diverse audiences across Europe. Their live shows enhance this experience via theatrical performances and elaborate staging that accentuate their lush, layered compositions.
