About GANS

GANS is a vibrant musical duo from the Black Country in the West Midlands, formed in 2023 by Thomas Rhodes and Euan Woodman. United by a shared passion for music, art, and literature, they quickly forged a distinctive sound that fuses big band jazz, country, and techno elements. Their eclectic style first caught widespread attention through five self-released singles on their own HOT DAWG Records label. This initial buzz resonated powerfully on social media, playlists, and in the press, setting the stage for their rapid rise.

After a standout DIY performance at a Cow Vintage store in Digbeth, GANS drew the interest of Strap Originals—Peter Doherty’s label—signing with them in late 2024. Their debut album, "Good for the Soul" (2025), produced by acclaimed Ross Orton, known for his work with Arctic Monkeys and Amyl and the Sniffers, further showcased their unique blend of genres and artistic vision. That year, GANS took their energy on the road, delivering over 150 live shows and sharing stages with notable acts like The Libertines, Babyshambles, Pop Will Eat Itself, Big Special, and Hamish Hawk, solidifying their reputation as a compelling live act.

In 2026, GANS expanded their sonic palette by incorporating touring musician Tommy "Shlugs" Lawther on saxophone and flute. They embarked on headline tours, supported legendary bands such as Pixies and The Vaccines, and appeared at major festivals, making it their most ambitious and impactful year yet. With a dynamic fusion of influences and relentless touring, GANS continues to carve a distinctive niche in the contemporary UK music scene.
