About 大塚愛

Ai Otsuka, born on September 9, 1982, in Osaka, Japan, is a celebrated singer-songwriter renowned for her infectious pop melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Beginning her musical journey at just 15, she honed her songwriting and composing skills early, setting a strong creative foundation. Otsuka made her major debut in September 2003 with the single "Momo no Hanabira," but it was her follow-up release, "Sakuranbo" (2003), that skyrocketed her to fame, becoming a massive hit across Japan.

Known for her versatility, Ai Otsuka seamlessly blends her talents not only as a vocalist but also as an illustrator and children’s book author, showcasing a multifaceted artistic identity. In 2019, she marked her 15th anniversary with the release of the all-time best album "Ai am BEST, too" (2019) and celebrated the milestone with a nationwide tour. That same year, her artistic reach extended internationally through the *AIO PIANO at ASIA vol.2* tour, featuring intimate piano solo performances across five Asian cities. Beyond performing, she has contributed music to other artists and released piano sheet music collections, demonstrating her commitment to nurturing the musical community.
