About Christina Stürmer

Christina Stürmer, born on June 9, 1982, in Linz, Austria, is a celebrated pop-rock singer who has solidified her place as one of the most influential voices in the German-speaking music world. Her rise to fame began with the debut single "Ich lebe," which dominated the Austrian charts for nine consecutive weeks, launching her career into the spotlight. This success was quickly followed by her first album, *Freier Fall* (2003), which also reached number one on the Austrian album charts.

Stürmer’s popularity soon extended into Germany, where her 2005 album *Schwarz Weiß* climbed to number three, marking a significant breakthrough. She continued to captivate audiences with *Lebe Lauter* (2006), which topped the charts in both Austria and Germany, cementing her status as a leading artist in the region. Over the years, Christina has maintained her streak of successful releases, including *Ich hör auf mein Herz* (2013), *Seite an Seite* (2016), and *Überall zu Hause* (2018), all achieving considerable chart success.

In 2023, Christina Stürmer made history as the first female artist in the German-speaking world to record an MTV Unplugged album, a live performance held in Vienna. This special concert revisited many of her greatest hits with fresh, acoustic arrangements and featured guest appearances from renowned artists like Mathea, Ursula Strauss, Deine Freunde, Sportfreunde Stiller, and Wolfgang Ambros. The unplugged version of "Ich lebe" was released as the lead single, bringing her career full circle.
