About UVERworld

UVERworld is a six-member Japanese rock band originating from Shiga Prefecture, formed in 2000. Their name fuses the German-inspired "über," meaning "beyond," with "world," reflecting their ambition to transcend musical boundaries and expand their creative universe. The lineup features TAKUYA∞ as the charismatic lead vocalist, guitarists Katsuya and Akira, Nobuto on bass, Shintaro behind the drums, and Seika handling saxophone and electronic manipulation.

Since their major debut in 2005 with the hit single "D-tecnoLife" under Sony Music Records, UVERworld has become a powerhouse in Japan’s rock scene. They have released over forty singles and twelve studio albums, with nearly all reaching the top five on the Oricon charts. Their breakthrough came with the chart-topping 2008 single "Hakanaku mo Towa no Kanashi," which solidified their presence in the mainstream. Their dynamic sound, blending alternative rock with experimental elements, combined with TAKUYA∞’s evocative lyrics and commanding stage presence, has earned them a loyal fanbase among youth.

UVERworld’s popularity extends beyond music charts, bolstered by iconic anime collaborations with series like "BLEACH," "My Hero Academia," "Blue Exorcist," and "The Promised Neverland." They have sold over three million records worldwide and are renowned for electrifying live performances. Noteworthy milestones include sold-out shows at Tokyo Dome (2010) and, most recently, two consecutive nights at Nissan Stadium in 2023, each drawing 72,000 fans. Their ongoing international expansion is highlighted by their scheduled first concert in Korea in July 2024, marking a new chapter in broadening their Asian influence.
