About Predator

Predator, born Stephan Scheltema, is a pioneering figure in the hardcore music scene, whose career began in 1992. Famed for his distinctive fusion of hardcore and drum ’n’ bass elements, he initially rose to prominence through his work with Ruffneck Records. Under his Diss Reaction alias, Predator delivered iconic tracks like "Mind of A Lunatic," "The Strongest Gang," and the massive hit "Jieehaaaa," which became staples of early hardcore culture.

After a creative hiatus from distorted hardcore, Predator made a powerful return through the Masters of Hardcore label, releasing explosive anthems such as "The Switch," "Demon Pit," and "Legend." These tracks reaffirmed his status as a dynamic artist capable of evolving while staying true to the genre’s roots. Known for blending haunting melodies with driving beats and crushing kicks, his music marries the gritty intensity of classic hardcore with a modern, drum ’n’ bass-inflected edge.

Through his own imprint, Guillotine Recordings, Predator champions an authentic hardcore sound that resonates deeply within both underground circles and mainstream electronic music events. His enduring commitment to innovation and high-energy performances keeps him at the forefront of the global hardcore community, bridging early rave culture with contemporary scenes. Predator remains a vital influence, celebrated for his ability to engage generations of fans with an uncompromising, relentless sound.
