About Jeremy Jordan

Jeremy Jordan, a dynamic actor and singer from Corpus Christi, Texas, first discovered his passion for performing during his high school years. He pursued this calling by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theater from Ithaca College, where he developed the foundation for a versatile career in stage and screen. Early in his professional journey, Jordan earned critical acclaim with Connecticut regional productions like *Big River* and *The Little Dog Laughed*, garnering a Connecticut Critics Circle nomination that helped propel him toward Broadway success.

By 2009, Jeremy Jordan had made his Broadway debut in notable revivals of *Rock of Ages* and *West Side Story*, while also expanding into television with appearances on NBC's *Law & Order: SVU*. His breakthrough came in 2011 when he originated the role of Clyde Barrow in the Broadway musical *Bonnie & Clyde*. This momentum continued with his portrayal of Jack Kelly in *Newsies* (2012), a role he initially performed at New Jersey’s Paper Mill Playhouse. Jordan’s powerful performance earned him a Tony Award nomination for Best Leading Actor in a Musical, and the original cast recording received a Grammy nomination in 2013.

Beyond the stage, Jeremy Jordan transitioned successfully into film, debuting in *Joyful Noise* (2012) alongside Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton. He further showcased his talents in the film adaptation of *The Last Five Years* (2015), starring opposite Anna Kendrick. On television, he captivated audiences as Jimmy in the second season of NBC’s *Smash* (2013) and participated in the musical’s concert event, *Hit List*.
