About Thomas Anders

Thomas Anders, born Bernd Weidung on March 1, 1963, in Münstermaifeld, Germany, rose to fame as the distinctive voice behind the legendary ’80s dance-pop duo Modern Talking. His musical journey began early, performing in church choirs and local village events from the age of seven, honing the vocal skills that would later captivate global audiences. In 1983, Anders teamed up with producer Dieter Bohlen to form Modern Talking, revolutionizing the Eurodisco and Eurodance scenes with chart-topping hits like "You're My Heart, You're My Soul," "Brother Louie," and "Cheri Cheri Lady."

After the duo’s initial split in 1987 due to creative differences, Thomas Anders launched a solo career with the 1989 album *Different*, which featured notable tracks such as "Soldier," "One Thing," and "Love of My Own," showcasing his range beyond the dance-pop genre. Anders also ventured into Spanish-language music with the album *Barcos de Cristal*, further demonstrating his versatility.

In 1994, Modern Talking reunited, delighting fans worldwide and releasing the successful comeback album *Back for Good* (1998), which reignited their popularity across multiple generations. Beyond his work with the duo, Thomas Anders remains a prominent figure in German pop and schlager music, renowned for his smooth vocals and enduring influence in the European music landscape.
