About 2:00 PM

South Korea’s 2:00 PM, formed by JYP Entertainment in 2008, is a pioneering boy band that reshaped the K-pop landscape with their bold, masculine image and energetic blend of dance-pop and R&B. Emerging from the split of the original group One Day, 2:00 PM originally debuted as a seven-member ensemble, including Jay Park, Jun. K, Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Junho, and Chansung. Their debut EP, "Hottest Time of the Day" (2008), featured catchy singles like "10 Out of 10" and "Only You," establishing their distinctive sound and style.

The group’s breakthrough came with their first full-length album, "01:59PM" (2009), which included the chart-topping hit "Heartbeat." Following controversy surrounding Jay Park’s past online comments, he left the group in 2010, leaving 2:00 PM as a six-member band. Undeterred, they continued to build momentum with releases such as "Don’t Stop Can’t Stop" (2010) and "Hands Up" (2011), which cemented their reputation for powerful performances and strong vocals.

2:00 PM also expanded their influence beyond Korea, achieving notable success in Japan with albums like "Republic of 2PM," "Legend of 2PM" (2013), and the number-one charting "Genesis of 2PM" (2014). Their fourth Korean album, "Go Crazy!" (2014), soared to number three on domestic charts. The group’s 2015 "2PM of 2PM" tour and Japanese album further solidified their status as international K-pop icons. Known for pioneering the "beast idol" or "jimseungdol" style, 2:00 PM remains an influential force in shaping K-pop’s sound and image globally.
