Emerging in the early to mid-1980s from Detroit’s dynamic electronic scene, Fowlkes crafted a unique sound that fused techno with soulful grooves, funk, and house influences. This innovative blend helped lay the groundwork for Detroit techno’s signature style, marked by emotive melodies and rhythmic precision.
