About Ben Böhmer

Ben Böhmer is a German electronic music composer and producer born in 1994 in rural Germany. His musical foundation began with piano lessons under Christoph Busse, who emphasized improvisation and creative experimentation over traditional sheet music. This unique approach deeply influenced Böhmer’s artistic philosophy, fostering a passion for emotional storytelling through sound.

At seventeen, Böhmer moved to Berlin, immersing himself in the city’s dynamic club scene. By eighteen, he was regularly performing live, where he refined his ability to connect with audiences through immersive electronic music. Known for his meticulous studio work, Böhmer often dedicates days perfecting a single idea, reflecting an intense commitment to creativity and emotional depth.

His breakthrough came with the debut album "Breathing" (2019), a poignant exploration of grief wrapped in introspective electronic landscapes. The follow-up album, "Begin Again" (2021), continued this emotive journey by focusing on themes of separation and renewal. Across both works, Böhmer masterfully balances contrasts—melding melancholy with hope, and comfort with joy—crafting immersive, emotionally charged musical experiences.
