About Wolfmother

Wolfmother, formed in Sydney, Australia in 2000 by lead guitarist and vocalist Andrew Stockdale, is a powerhouse trio celebrated for its dynamic fusion of heavy fuzz guitars, primal psychedelia, and pounding rhythms. Drawing inspiration from the doom-laden riffs of Black Sabbath and the raw garage rock energy akin to the White Stripes, Wolfmother crafted a signature sound that played a key role in the 21st-century rock revival.

After years of refining their craft, Wolfmother broke onto the global stage with their self-titled debut album (2006). This landmark release featured anthems like "Woman," "Joker and the Thief," and "White Unicorn," tracks that not only achieved quintuple platinum status in Australia but also propelled the band to international fame. The album’s success was amplified by extensive touring and strategic placements in films, television, and video games, securing Wolfmother’s position as a modern rock heavyweight.

In 2016, Wolfmother returned with "Victorious," an album produced by Brendan O’Brien in Hollywood. Showcasing standout songs such as "Victorious" and "Gypsy Caravan," the record featured contributions from keyboardist Ian Peres and renowned drummers Josh Freese and Joey Waronker. This release underscored the band’s evolving sound while staying true to their heavy psychedelic rock roots—a style that has earned them both Grammy recognition and ARIA Awards. With their vigorous performances and unmistakable sonic identity, Wolfmother remains a defining force within contemporary rock music.
