About Anetha

Anetha is a dynamic French DJ, producer, and label manager born in Bordeaux in 1989, whose deep roots in nu-wave and electroclash—thanks to her parents’ musical background—have shaped her distinctive sound. Trained as an architect, she transitioned from studying in London and Paris to fully immersing herself in the electronic music scene around 2012. Anetha quickly gained recognition for her unique fusion of techno, trance, and experimental sounds, marked by infectious basslines, ethereal melodies, and subtle, introspective undertones that resonate in both clubs and festivals worldwide.

Her breakthrough came with the 2015 EP "Ophiuchus" on Work Them, a release that helped establish her presence on the international circuit. In 2019, she co-founded the Blocaus party series and label in Paris and launched her own imprint, Mama told ya, dedicated to spotlighting emerging talents. On this label, she released a 2024 album blending post-club, rave, drum and bass, and techno influences while thoughtfully addressing themes like sustainability, femininity, and toxic masculinity with a playful, ironic edge.

Beyond music, Anetha is celebrated for bridging electronic sound with visual art and fashion, collaborating with designers such as Marine Serre and Rombaut. This multifaceted approach positions her as a pioneering figure who continuously redefines the boundaries of contemporary electronic music.
