About Zeke

Seattle-born hardcore trailblazers Zeke have been a formidable force in punk and metal since their formation in 1993. Founded by Blind Marky Felchtone, Donny Paycheck, Mark Pierce, and Dizzy Lee Roth, the band quickly made waves with their debut single "West Seattle Acid Party." Their aggressive style fuses the blistering speed of thrash metal with the raw energy of punk, drawing heavy inspiration from influential acts like Motörhead and Black Flag.

Zeke's initial albums, "Super Sound Racing" (1995) and "Flat Tracker" (1996), set the stage for their breakthrough record, "Kicked in the Teeth" (1998). Produced by Jack Endino and released on Relapse Records, this album expanded their reach beyond the Pacific Northwest through relentless touring and electrifying live shows alongside bands such as Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam. They continued to evolve with "Dirty Sanchez" (2000), which included a high-octane cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Rhiannon," and "Death Alley" (2001), their final release on Epitaph Records.

Embracing heavier metal influences, Zeke released "'Til the Livin' End" (2005), further solidifying their hybrid hardcore-metal sound. Following a significant hiatus, the band returned in 2018 with "Hellbender," featuring a refreshed lineup yet retaining their signature ferocity. Known for their punishing riffs and relentless pace, Zeke remains a vital and enduring presence in the fusion of hardcore punk and thrash metal.
