About Layo & Bushwacka!

Layo & Bushwacka! are a renowned English electronic music duo comprising Layo Paskin and Matthew "Bushwacka" B., pivotal figures in London’s vibrant club scene during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Their collaboration blossomed around The End, an iconic tech-house nightclub co-founded by Mr. C of The Shamen, where Paskin was co-owner and Matthew B. held a residency. Before joining forces, Matthew B. built his reputation through releases on influential labels such as Sound as a Pound and Plank, lending significant studio experience to their partnership.

The duo became synonymous with the burgeoning UK house and techno sound, releasing a series of successful singles and their debut album on End Recordings, the label born from The End nightclub itself. Their music expertly blends intricate beats with vibrant, pulse-driven rhythms, contributing substantially to the definition of British tech-house at a critical moment in club culture. Outside the duo, Layo Paskin collaborated with Mr. C in the side project Usual Suspects, further expanding their creative reach.
