About Stromae

Paul Van Haver, known by his stage name Stromae, is a pioneering Belgian artist celebrated for his work as a singer, songwriter, producer, and creative visionary. Launching his career in 2009 with his debut album "Cheese," Stromae quickly established himself as a trailblazer by founding the independent label Mosaert alongside creative director Luc Van Haver. This move gave him full control over every facet of his artistry—from music production to visual design, stage presentation, and costumes.

Stromae’s global breakthrough came with his 2013 album "Racine Carrée," a critically acclaimed record that sold over five million copies worldwide. The album’s innovative blend of electronic music, hip-hop, and world rhythms resonated deeply with audiences. Its striking music videos collectively garnered more than one billion views on YouTube. Riding this success, Stromae embarked on a three-year international tour, performing 209 shows and captivating over 1.7 million fans across Europe, the Americas, and Africa.

In 2012, his collaboration with Belgian fashion designer Coralie Barbier transformed his stage persona, inspiring the launch of a Mosaert clothing line in 2014 that reflects his bold aesthetic. After an eight-year hiatus, Stromae returned triumphantly in 2022 with "Multitude," a twelve-track album released under Mosaert that further showcased his evolving sound and artistic maturity. The ongoing "Multitude Tour" has brought his dynamic performances across Europe and the United States, reaffirming Stromae’s status as a boundary-pushing figure at the intersection of music, fashion, and visual storytelling.
