About Höhner

Höhner, Cologne’s iconic musical ensemble, has been captivating audiences for over fifty years with their vibrant sound and cultural spirit deeply rooted in the Rhineland. Since their formation in the early 1970s, this sextet has become synonymous with the lively essence of Cologne’s carnival tradition and the broader German music scene. Their repertoire spans an infectious mix of party schlager, heartfelt ballads, and rock-infused anthems, demonstrating remarkable versatility across genres.

Höhner’s enduring popularity is anchored by timeless classics such as "Viva Colonia," the nationwide chart-topping hit "Wenn nicht jetzt, wann dann?" and the cherished anthem for the 1. FC Köln football club. These songs have transcended regional boundaries, earning the band a place as cultural ambassadors of Cologne. In 2024, Höhner continued to celebrate their legacy with the release of *11+11*, an album blending fresh compositions with reimagined versions of their greatest hits spanning five decades.

Current favorites like "Prinzessin," "Es ist nicht so, wie du denkst," and "Au revoir" illustrate Höhner’s ability to evolve while honoring their roots. Their dynamic performances and joyful, emotional music ensure that Höhner remains the pulsating heartbeat of Cologne’s music scene and one of Germany’s most beloved party bands.
