About Casting Crowns

Casting Crowns, founded in 1999 by youth pastor and vocalist Mark Hall in Daytona Beach, Florida, began as a student worship group before evolving into one of contemporary Christian music’s most influential bands. After relocating to McDonough, Georgia, the group expanded their lineup and developed their signature blend of powerful guitar riffs and uplifting melodies. Their breakthrough came with the self-titled debut album "Casting Crowns" (2003), produced in collaboration with country artist Mark Miller and CCM icon Steven Curtis Chapman. This album quickly achieved platinum status and peaked at number two on Christian charts, marking the start of their widespread acclaim.

Over the years, Casting Crowns has released a series of successful albums, including "Lifesong" (2005), "The Altar and the Door" (2007), and "Come to the Well" (2011), consistently delivering chart-topping singles such as "Lifesong," "Until the Whole World Hears," and "East to West," the latter setting a record with 16 weeks at number one on Christian radio. Their later works, like "The Very Next Thing" (2016) and "Scars in Heaven" (2021), feature collaborations with acclaimed songwriters like Matthew West, while maintaining their heartfelt, faith-driven approach.

With over ten million albums sold worldwide, Casting Crowns has earned numerous Grammy and Dove Award nominations, bridging faith-based and mainstream audiences alike. Their enduring impact lies in their compelling songwriting and engaging performances, securing their legacy as contemporary Christian music royalty.
