About Skraeckoedlan

Skraeckoedlan is a Swedish rock band formed in 2009 in Norrköping, celebrated for their distinct fusion of fuzz-heavy stoner rock and cosmic, science fiction-inspired storytelling. Their music is marked by thick, groove-laden riffs and an immersive psychedelic atmosphere that transports listeners into vast, otherworldly realms. Drawing heavily on themes of space exploration, ancient light, and the majestic chaos of the cosmos, Skraeckoedlan crafts sonic narratives that feel like interstellar voyages through vermilion skies and eternal darkness.

Over the years, Skraeckoedlan has established a unique niche within the stoner and doom metal scenes, known for their ability to blend hypnotic rhythms with vivid lyrical imagery. Their compositions often explore humanity’s place in the universe, weaving tales of strange phenomena and cosmic beauty set against an expansive, atmospheric backdrop. This evocative sound has earned the band recognition for turning albums and live performances into immersive celestial journeys rather than conventional rock offerings.

Skraeckoedlan’s signature style—frequently described as "fuzz science fiction rock"—blurs the lines between space rock, psychedelic metal, and storytelling, making them a standout act in Sweden’s vibrant rock landscape. Their work continues to resonate with fans who seek music that captures both the awe and desolation of the cosmos, delivered through hauntingly elegant yet powerful soundscapes.
