Gunpoint is a unique name that represents two distinct musical acts rooted in Texas but exploring vastly different genres. From the Rio Grande Valley, Gunpoint is a five-piece deathcore band known for fusing beatdown and hardcore elements into a heavy, aggressive sound. Their music delivers relentless intensity, appealing to fans of extreme metal with powerful, crushing riffs and raw emotional energy. This band firmly establishes Gunpoint as a force within the heavy music scene.

In contrast, the Dallas-based Gunpoint is the electronic music project of Aviel Samuel. A classically trained pianist, Samuel channeled his early love for the piano into crafting bass-driven electronic tracks. His style blends alternative and hip-hop influences with hard-hitting bass, drawing inspiration from prominent producers like RL Grime, Zeds Dead, Boombox Cartel, and Deadcrow. Samuel’s compositions stand out for their immersive soundscapes that balance intense, life-altering moments with poetic, emotionally rich melodies.
