About Bad Company

Formed in 1973, Bad Company is a seminal British hard rock supergroup that united veteran musicians from standout bands such as Free, Mott the Hoople, and King Crimson. The lineup featured Paul Rodgers’ commanding vocals and Simon Kirke’s dynamic drumming from Free, Mick Ralphs’ blues-infused guitar riffs from Mott the Hoople, and Boz Burrell’s solid bass work from King Crimson. Their powerful chemistry quickly earned them the distinction of being the first act signed to Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song label.

Bad Company’s self-titled debut album (1974) catapulted them to stardom, topping the US charts and spawning the number one hit "Can’t Get Enough of Your Love." This success was solidified with follow-up albums like "Straight Shooter" (1975) and "Run with the Pack" (1976), delivering enduring classics such as "Feel Like Makin’ Love." Their sound evolved by the late ’70s with "Desolation Angels" (1979), incorporating more synthesizers while retaining their rock and blues sensibility. After "Rough Diamonds" (1982), the original lineup disbanded.

Bad Company experienced a resurgence in 1986 when Ralphs and Kirke returned with new vocalist Brian Howe. This era yielded hits like "If You Needed Somebody" from "Holy Water" (1990) and the platinum-certified "Here Comes Trouble" (1992). The original members reunited briefly in 1998 for "The Original Bad Company Anthology" and a subsequent tour.

Despite the passing of Boz Burrell (2006) and Brian Howe (2020), Bad Company’s influence endures as a pioneering force in English hard rock and blues rock, celebrated for their timeless sound and classic hits that continue to resonate decades later.
