About Valentina Lisitsa

Valentina Lisitsa is a trailblazing classical pianist who revolutionized the genre by harnessing the power of digital media to build an international career. Born in Ukraine, Lisitsa first gained widespread attention in 2007 when she uploaded a captivating performance of Rachmaninoff’s Étude op. 39/6 to YouTube. This breakthrough video launched her into the global spotlight, rapidly amassing over 650,000 subscribers and more than 147 million views. Her innovative approach to audience engagement also helped her Spotify profile attract over a million monthly listeners.

Lisitsa’s online success translated seamlessly into prestigious live performances across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. A milestone came in 2012 with her recital at London’s Royal Albert Hall, where 8,000 attendees experienced her interactive concert format—audiences voted online to select the program, showcasing her dedication to connecting directly with fans. Beyond her dynamic performances of Romantic repertoire, particularly Rachmaninoff, Lisitsa has demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit by founding her own label, QOR, in 2020. This venture allowed her to maintain creative control and continue sharing her music amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Renowned for blending heartfelt artistry with modern technology, Valentina Lisitsa continues to reshape how classical music reaches contemporary audiences, making her a pioneering figure in the digital age of classical performance.
