About Jacuzzi Boys

Jacuzzi Boys, a Miami-based trio formed in 2007 by Gabriel Alcala (guitar) and Diego Monasteri (drums), swiftly carved out a distinct niche with their lo-fi, psychedelic-infused garage rock sound. Bassist Danny Gonzales joined shortly after, completing the lineup that blended 1960s garage rock influences with a fresh, 21st-century edge. Their debut album, "No Seasons" (2009), released on Orlando’s Floridas Dying label, garnered critical acclaim, especially following a split 7" with Woven Bones that caught the attention of Pitchfork. An unexpected endorsement from punk legend Iggy Pop further elevated their profile, paving the way for a deal with Sub Pop’s Hardly Art imprint.

Their sophomore album, "Glazin'" (2011), marked a step toward musical maturity, capturing wider audiences with its sharper sound. Extensive touring and a track placement in the Seth Rogen film "50/50" increased their visibility. The band’s self-titled third album (2013), mastered by renowned producer Kramer and recorded at Key Club Recording Co., showcased their evolving artistry. After a brief hiatus, Jacuzzi Boys returned with the stripped-down, garage rock-driven six-song EP "Happy Damage" (2015), produced by Jonathan Nunez of Torche and released on their own Mag Mag label. Their 2016 album "Ping Pong" revealed a grunge-tinged indie rock direction while staying true to their retro roots, solidifying their reputation as modern torchbearers of psychedelic garage rock.

Through a synthesis of vintage and modern sounds, Jacuzzi Boys continue to influence the indie and garage rock scenes with their distinctive blend of gritty melodies and lo-fi charm.
