About Coma

Coma is a renowned Polish hard rock and post-grunge band that originated in Łódź in 1998. Founded by Marcin Kobza, Rafał Matuszak, Piotr Rogucki, Tomasz Stasiak, and Dominik Witczak, the group quickly carved out a distinctive sound influenced by iconic bands such as Pearl Jam and Led Zeppelin, as well as Polish rock pioneers like Illusion. This fusion of international and local inspiration helped Coma captivate a diverse audience both in Poland and beyond.

Their professional breakthrough came in 2003 with a contract signed under BMG/Poland, paving the way for their debut album "Pierwsze Wyjście z Mroku" (2004). Building on this success, they released "Zaprzepaszczone Siły Wielkiej Armii Świętych Znaków" (2006), which earned gold certification and cemented their place in the Polish rock scene. The band's artistic evolution reached new heights with the ambitious double album "Hipertrofia" (2008), showcasing their growing musical sophistication and earning critical acclaim.

Aiming for international recognition, Coma recorded their first English-language album "Excess" (2010). The following year, their self-titled album "Coma" (2011) achieved platinum status, becoming a commercial peak. Continuing their English-language journey, they unveiled "Don't Set Your Dogs on Me" (2013), broadening their global appeal. Throughout their career, Coma has remained a powerhouse of powerful performances and thoughtful songwriting, establishing themselves as one of Poland's most successful rock exports.
