About Puma Blue

Puma Blue is the artistic alias of Jacob Allen, a South London-born musician, producer, and poet renowned for his ethereal falsetto and immersive lo-fi soundscapes. Emerging from London’s underground scene, Puma Blue quickly captured attention with his unique fusion of sensual vulnerability and nocturnal ambience, blending jazz-inflected improvisation with deeply emotional vocal delivery often likened to Jeff Buckley. His early EPs, "Swum Baby" (2017) and "Blood Loss" (2018), laid the groundwork for his signature style—intimate, haunting, and atmospheric.

In 2021, Puma Blue released his debut album, "In Praise Of Shadows," a critically acclaimed work that further cemented his place as an innovative force in contemporary music. This project was accompanied by the concert film "A Late Night Special," showcasing his compelling live presence. Building on this momentum, his sophomore album "Holy Waters" (2023) marked a creative shift toward a more band-driven sound, deeply exploring themes of mortality with somber intensity.

Surprising fans again in 2025, Puma Blue unveiled "antichamber," an ambient and minimalist collection featuring field recordings, expanding his artistic boundaries. Alongside his solo career, Jacob Allen has collaborated with notable artists like Loyle Carner, Biig Piig, and longtime partner SALPA, while also creating under the name Ruby Bliels. Now based in Atlanta, Puma Blue continues to evolve, drawing inspiration from influential acts such as Portishead, Radiohead, Burial, D’Angelo, and Deftones, solidifying his reputation as a genre-defying visionary in modern music.
