About Streetlight Manifesto

Streetlight Manifesto is a New Jersey-based ska-punk band formed in the early 2000s by vocalist Tomas Kalnoky, following his departures from One Cool Guy and Catch-22. Emerging as a leading force in the third wave ska movement, the seven-piece ensemble is renowned for their energetic fusion of brassy ska rhythms and punk-driven melodies, crafting a distinctive sound that has cemented their legacy in American alternative music.

Their debut album, "Everything Goes Numb" (2003), received critical acclaim and launched an extensive touring schedule, sharing stages with acts like Whole Wheat Bread, Mu330, Bedouin Soundclash, and Gym Class Heroes. Despite setbacks such as the theft of nearly $80,000 worth of equipment in 2005, which inspired their wryly titled "Please Stop Robbing Us Tour" alongside the Tossers, Streetlight Manifesto pressed on with resilience and creativity.

In 2006, they released "Keasbey Nights," a reimagined version of Catch-22’s 1998 album, further showcasing their musical prowess. This was followed by "Somewhere in the Between" (2007), which solidified their position in the ska scene. The band continued to innovate with "99 Songs of Revolution, Vol. 1" (2010), featuring ska interpretations of contemporary pop songs, before delivering "The Hands That Thieve" (2013), their final album on Victory Records and a definitive statement of their evolving sound. Through relentless touring and a dynamic discography, Streetlight Manifesto remains a cornerstone of ska-punk music.
