About Juanse

Juan Sebastián Gutiérrez, better known as Juanse, is a seminal figure in Argentine rock music. Born in Buenos Aires on June 3, 1962, he rose to prominence as the charismatic frontman, guitarist, and principal songwriter of Ratones Paranoicos, a band widely celebrated for revitalizing rock and roll in Argentina since its formation in 1984. Over the course of his enduring career, Juanse has released an impressive 24 albums with the band, alongside nine solo projects, showcasing his versatility and creative evolution.

Juanse’s influence transcends his extensive discography. In 2018, his impact on Argentine rock was recognized when the Hard Rock Café Buenos Aires inducted his stage wardrobe—including iconic leather jackets, pants, and boots—into its Memorabilia collection, underscoring his status as a cultural icon. That same year, he released his ninth solo album, "Stéreoma" (2018), which marked a new chapter in his musical journey. Building on this momentum, Juanse collaborated with legendary producer Andrew Loog Oldham on his tenth solo album, "222 Biograma." The project introduced fresh singles like "Muchacho Corazón" and the visually striking "Ataque de Nervios!," reflecting his ongoing commitment to innovation within Latin American rock.

Juanse remains a vital force in the music scene, intertwining his rich rock legacy with contemporary sounds, ensuring his place as a timeless artist in Argentina’s musical history.
