About MOTi

Dutch electronic music producer MOTi, born Timotheus Romme in Amsterdam, has carved out a prominent place in the global dance music landscape with his dynamic and versatile approach to house music. His musical journey began in his teenage years when he acquired turntables from a friend, swiftly honing his DJ skills while balancing high school and fashion design studies. From 2007 to 2010, MOTi performed as one-half of the EDM duo Groovenatics alongside his cousin Yordi Corsten before embarking on a solo career that emphasized experimentation and genre-blending.

MOTi’s breakthrough came in 2012 with the release of "Circuits," a collaboration with fellow Dutch producer Quintino that caught the eye of Tiësto and led to a signing with Red Light Management. Known for seamlessly fusing festival-ready anthems with melodic, more intimate tunes, his sound resonates with the energy of Dutch house legends like Afrojack and Tiësto. Over the years, MOTi has built an impressive catalog featuring collaborations with high-profile artists such as Martin Garrix on "Virus (How About Now)," Major Lazer on the hit "Boom" featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Wizkid, and Kranium, as well as partnerships with Blasterjaxx, W&W, Kenneth G, and Jay Hardway.

Beyond his signature progressive house style, MOTi’s restless creativity has led him to explore other genres including indie rock, pop, hip-hop, and a cappella, broadening his musical horizons while consistently producing electrifying dancefloor-ready tracks. With releases on major labels like Spinnin’ Records, MOTi remains a vital force in electronic music, continuously pushing boundaries and captivating audiences worldwide.
