About Khatia Buniatishvili

Khatia Buniatishvili is a renowned French-Georgian pianist whose extraordinary musical journey began at the tender age of three under the tutelage of her mother. By six, she had already made a striking debut with the Tbilisi Chamber Orchestra, signaling the emergence of a prodigious talent. She pursued formal studies at the Tbilisi Central Music School with Tengiz Amiredjibi before advancing to the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, where she studied under the esteemed Oleg Maisenberg.

Buniatishvili’s captivating artistry and emotional depth have earned her prestigious accolades, including prizes at the Horowitz International Competition for Young Pianists and the Foundation to Assist Young Georgian Musicians Competition. At the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, she stood out by winning the Best Performer of a Chopin Piece and securing the Audience Favorite award.

Her international acclaim is reflected in performances with leading orchestras such as the Philadelphia Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic, and Los Angeles Philharmonic. Fluent in Georgian, French, English, German, and Russian, Buniatishvili connects deeply with diverse audiences worldwide.
