About Tede

Tede, born Jacek Graniecki in Warsaw in 1976, is a seminal figure in Polish hip-hop whose career spans over two decades. He began in the mid-1990s as a member of the hardcore rap group Trzyha, which rebranded as Warszafski Deszcz in 1998. Their debut album, "Nastukafszy..." (1999), slowly gained cult status, marking an important milestone in Poland’s burgeoning rap scene. Launching a solo career with the album "S.P.O.R.T." (2001), Tede broke into the Polish charts, reaching the Top 30 and establishing himself as a solo artist.

In 2002, he founded the influential label Wielkie Joł, under which he released a series of acclaimed albums. Notable works include the double album "Trzyha Hajs Hajs Hajs" (2003), "Notes" (2004), and "Note2" (2009), the latter securing a top-three position and earning gold certification. Throughout his career, Tede’s releases consistently charted high, with albums like "Ścieżka Dźwiękowa" (2008), "Mefistotedes/Odkupienie" (2012), "Elliminati" (2013), and "#kurt_rolson" (2014) reinforcing his enduring impact on Polish rap culture.

Beyond music, Tede expanded his influence into television by co-creating the show "Bezele" on VIVA Polska, and ventured into fashion with his streetwear brand PLNY Wear. Renowned for his sharp lyrical style and entrepreneurial spirit, Tede remains a cornerstone of Poland’s hip-hop scene and a cultural innovator whose legacy continues to shape the genre’s evolution.
