About JeanJass

Belgian rapper JeanJass, born Jassim Jean Ramdani on May 10, 1988, in Charleroi, has been a pivotal figure in Belgium’s evolving hip-hop scene since the early 2010s. He first attracted attention as part of the collective Exodarap, releasing notable mixtapes such as "Concept Paradoxe" (2009), "Exodarap LP" (2012), and "L'Exode" (2013). Building on this foundation, JeanJass launched his solo career with the "Jean XVI" EP and the mixtape "Goldman" (2014), showcasing his distinct lyrical style and versatility.

JeanJass’s rise to prominence is closely tied to his collaboration with fellow Belgian rapper Caballero, forming the influential duo Caballero et JeanJass. Together, they crafted the critically acclaimed "Double Hélice" trilogy (2016–2018), followed by the mixtape "High et Fines Herbes" (2020), which further cemented their status in European rap. Parallel to his duo work, JeanJass continued to develop his solo repertoire, releasing "Hat Trick" (2021) with contributions from artists like Akhenaton, Raf, and Némir, and "Doudoune en Été" (2022), featuring prominent names such as Youssoupha and Jazzy Bazz. The latter reached number 57 on the French charts, confirming his cross-border appeal.

In recent years, JeanJass has expanded his creative collaborations, working with Mairo, Fuku, and Keroué on "Tous Ces Ongles Rongés" (2024), which peaked at number 15 on France’s SNEP album chart. He also partnered with Jungle Jack on the album "Cognacs & Cigarettes" (2025), with guest appearances including Caballero. This project reached number 16 nationally, solidifying JeanJass’s reputation as a dynamic and innovative force in the European rap landscape.
