About Mario Ranieri

Mario Ranieri, born in 1980 in Austria, is a pioneering figure in the Hardtechno and Schranz music scenes. Renowned as one of Austria’s leading DJs and producers in these genres, Ranieri has significantly shaped the evolution of hard techno over more than two decades. In 1999, he founded SCHUBfaktor Music, a flagship label that later expanded to include five specialized sub-labels—Schlagwerx, Vernacular, Ostarrichi, Girlpower, and SCHUBfaktor Digital—each dedicated to different electronic music styles.

Throughout his prolific career, Mario Ranieri has released over 84 official records across vinyl, CD, and digital platforms, establishing a robust catalog of influential productions, remixes, and DJ mixes. His impact extends beyond his own work; he has been instrumental in launching the careers of numerous artists who debuted on his labels and went on to gain international recognition. Ranieri’s dynamic performances have taken him to clubs and festivals across Europe and South America, where he continues to energize audiences with his signature sound.

In addition to his hands-on experience in music production, Ranieri earned a Bachelor of Arts in Audio Engineering from SAE Institute Vienna in 2008, further honing his technical expertise. Today, Mario Ranieri remains a vital and influential force within the Hardtechno community, committed to innovation and to nurturing emerging talent through his relentless dedication and visionary approach.
