DJ Tennis, born Manfredi Romano in Italy, stands as a multifaceted pioneer in the global electronic music scene. With a distinctive sound that blends house, techno, and indie influences, he has crafted emotionally immersive musical experiences that push the boundaries of electronic music. Romano began his journey rooted in Italy’s underground culture, first engaging as a tour manager and event organizer for punk bands. After earning a degree in Computer Science from the University of Pisa, he demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit by founding DAZE, Italy’s first booking agency dedicated exclusively to electronic music.

As the founder of the influential Life and Death record label, DJ Tennis has provided a launchpad for groundbreaking artists while releasing his own critically acclaimed tracks. His deep industry knowledge, developed through years of concert promotion, artist management, and innovative event production, informs his holistic approach to music.

Beyond his artistic career, Romano’s diverse creative passions enrich his work. He is a chef and restaurant owner, an avid photographer, and a dedicated vinyl collector with a personal archive exceeding eleven thousand records. His interests also span vintage action figures and cycling, highlighting a broad cultural curiosity that influences his soundscapes. DJ Tennis’s unique blend of artistry, innovation, and cultural depth cements his enduring relevance as a leading force in electronic music worldwide.
