About Sylosis

Sylosis is a dynamic metal band originating from Reading, Berkshire, England, formed in 2000. Renowned for their sophisticated yet uncompromising sound, they have carved out a distinct space within the modern metal scene by blending the ferocity of thrash metal with the melodic intricacies of death metal. Over the years, Sylosis has signed with Nuclear Blast Records and built an impressive catalog, including six studio albums, a live album, and two EPs.

Their debut album, "Conclusion of an Age" (2008), introduced fans to their aggressive, thrash-driven style. They swiftly followed with the epic and critically acclaimed "Edge of the Earth" (2011) and "Monolith" (2012), albums noted for their complex, powerful compositions. Continuing to evolve, Sylosis delivered the direct intensity of "Dormant Heart" (2015) and the critically praised "Cycle of Suffering" (2020), each project further showcasing their capacity to balance technical proficiency with raw heaviness.

In 2023, Sylosis released their sixth studio album, "A Sign of Things to Come," widely celebrated as their most potent and commanding work yet. This release reinforces their reputation as one of the premier acts in contemporary metal, consistently pushing the boundaries of English thrash and melodic death metal with precision and passion.
