About AURORA

Norwegian singer-songwriter AURORA, born Aurora Aksnes in 1996 in Bergen, has emerged as a uniquely ethereal voice in contemporary pop music. Blending art pop with profound emotional and philosophical themes, she explores the delicate balance between intuition and logic, heart and mind. Her music often questions how modern society’s focus on materialism and power has overshadowed genuine emotion and authenticity—a motif vividly present in her anticipated 2024 release, "What Happened To The Heart?".

AURORA’s haunting vocals and poetic lyricism have garnered international acclaim, carving out a space where introspection meets sonic innovation. Singing primarily in English, her work is deeply infused with her Norwegian heritage, creating a transcultural appeal that resonates broadly. Beyond her signature sound, AURORA is an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, anti-racism, feminism, and environmental causes. As an openly bisexual artist and autism advocate, she channels personal experiences into her art and activism, adding layers of sincerity and depth to her message.

Affiliated with labels such as Glassnote and Fontana Records, AURORA continuously challenges pop conventions by offering music that is not only sonically captivating but also socially conscious. Her evolving discography and strong commitment to authenticity ensure her place as one of the most influential and visionary artists in modern music.
