About 2120

2120 is a vibrant rock band emerging from Montréal’s culturally rich Mile End neighborhood. Founded by brothers Maxime and Gabriel Blackburn, who developed their musical synergy from a young age in Sherbrooke, Québec, the group solidified their lineup in 2015 with the addition of the charismatic frontman Billy St. Onge. Shortly after adopting the name 2120, the trio relocated to Montréal to immerse themselves in the city’s thriving music scene.

In the spring of 2022, 2120 released their debut album, "2120 in Spectacular Physical Health," a ten-track record produced by renowned producer Jace Lasek, known for his work with Arcade Fire, Patrick Watson, and SUUNS. The album showcases a sophisticated blend of intricate harmonies and a fusion of classical influences with American pop, creating a distinctive and captivating sound. Billy St. Onge’s commanding vocals have drawn comparisons to the boldness of James Brown and the dynamic energy of David Bowie, bringing deeply reflective and confessional lyrics to life.

Following an energetic series of live performances across Montréal, 2120 unveiled their self-produced single "Tell Me How or When" later in 2022. This track highlights their evolving style, mixing psychedelic pop textures with polished melodic sophistication. With their compelling stage presence and innovative sound, 2120 continues to carve out a notable space in the contemporary Canadian rock landscape.
