About Juice WRLD

Juice WRLD, born Jarad Higgins in 1998 in Calumet Park, Illinois, emerged as a trailblazing figure in modern hip-hop with his distinctive blend of emotive lyricism and melodic production. A multi-instrumentalist skilled in piano, drums, and guitar, Higgins initially found his passion in high school freestyling, drawing inspiration from Chicago drill artists like Lil Durk and Chief Keef as well as rock influences. His early moniker, Juice TheKidd, paid homage to Tupac Shakur’s iconic style from the film "Juice."

Juice WRLD first garnered attention with his 2017 "Juice WLRD 999" EP, which featured breakout hits such as "Lucid Dreams (Forget Me)" and "All Girls Are the Same." These tracks anchored his debut album, "Goodbye & Good Riddance" (2018), which climbed to number 15 on the Billboard 200. Building on this success, his sophomore album "A Death Race for Love" (2019) debuted at number one, showcasing his evolving sound with tracks like "Robbery" and earning gold certification.

Known for seamlessly merging R&B, dreamy beats, and indie rock elements, Juice WRLD collaborated with top artists such as BTS, Ellie Goulding, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Eminem, Nicki Minaj, and Fall Out Boy. His song "Bandit" became another Top Ten hit, cementing his widespread appeal.

Tragically, Juice WRLD passed away from a medical emergency at Chicago’s Midway Airport in December 2019, just after turning 21. Nevertheless, his legacy endures through posthumous releases including "Legends Never Die" (2020), "Fighting Demons" (2021), and "The Party Never Ends" (2024), all of which continue to captivate audiences and affirm his lasting impact on hip-hop culture worldwide.
