About NAPA

NAPA is a Portuguese band that emerged from the vibrant music scene of Madeira Island, where a group of friends first discovered their shared passion while rehearsing in a basement. Drawing from a rich tapestry of influences—ranging from the energetic rock vibes of Arctic Monkeys and Red Hot Chili Peppers to the timeless melodies of The Beatles, and the emotional depth of Brazilian icons Caetano Veloso and Tom Jobim—NAPA has crafted a sound that is both melancholic and infectious.

Their breakthrough came via YouTube, where their unique blend quickly resonated with audiences far beyond Portugal’s borders. In 2019, NAPA released their debut album, "Senso Comum," a collection of straightforward yet captivating songs that firmly established their presence in the Portuguese music scene. With their sophomore album, "Logo Se Vê" (2023), the band evolved their style by incorporating romantic pop elements, intricate rhythms, and inventive textures, showcasing a maturity and ambition that appealed to an even wider audience.

NAPA’s international acclaim soared in 2025 with the release of "Deslocado," a breakout hit that represented Portugal at Eurovision and amassed nearly 100 million streams. Building on this momentum, they collaborated with Van Zee on the single "Infinito," expanding their sonic reach. Currently, NAPA continues to explore new creative avenues, including a fresh partnership with Brazilian group Jovem Dionisio, as they prepare to unveil their highly anticipated third album in 2026. Their journey marks them as one of Portugal’s most exciting contemporary musical exports, consistently evolving while staying true to their authentic and emotive sound.
