About Damian Lazarus

Damian Lazarus has been a defining force in the U.K. electronic music scene since the early 2000s, shaping the landscape of dance culture with his visionary approach. Initially gaining recognition as head of A&R at City Rockers, he championed pioneering tracks such as Felix da Housecat and Miss Kittin's "Silver Screen Shower Scene" and Tiga & Zyntherius' "Sunglasses at Night," helping bring the electro-infused sound to British audiences. In 2002, Lazarus curated the influential *Futurism* compilations, which captured the vibrant fusion of electro-house and techno that defined the era.

In 2004, he launched his own label, Crosstown Rebels, which quickly became synonymous with innovative electronic music. The label released an array of impactful singles and mix albums, including *Rebel Futurism Session One* (2004) and *Crosstown Rebels, Vol. 1* (2006). Lazarus’s eclectic DJ sets and mixes expanded across other platforms as well, notably featuring on Soma’s *Sci-Fi-Lo-Fi, Vol. 2*, where he skillfully blended classic house, techno, dubstep, and ’80s synth-funk elements.

As a producer, Damian Lazarus made a strong impression with his debut album, "Smoke the Monster Out" (2009), followed by his critically acclaimed *Fabric 54* mix in 2010, further cementing his reputation as a leading figure in modern club culture. Through a blend of dynamic production and expertly curated live performances, Damian Lazarus continues to influence and innovate within electronic music globally.
