About Melonball

Melonball has quickly established themselves as a formidable presence in the international punk scene since their formation in 2019. Known for their high-speed, technical skatepunk sound, the band blends sharp riffs, intricate drumming, and distinctive three-part vocal harmonies, creating a style they describe as "melonic" punk rock. Central to their unique identity is lead singer Oli, whose powerful voice delivers politically charged lyrics focused on social injustice, systemic issues, and abuses of power with raw emotion and unwavering honesty.

Their debut album, "BREATHE" (2023), released through Thousand Islands Records in North America and Lockjaw Records in the UK, showcased their ability to balance aggressive energy with catchy, melodic hooks. Following this, the acoustic EP "eup•nea" (2024) unveiled a more intimate and nuanced side of their artistry. In 2026, Melonball reinforced their growing reputation with their sophomore album, "Take Care," issued via Thousand Islands Records and Germany’s Rookie Records, further highlighting their technical prowess and incisive social commentary.

Renowned for electrifying live performances, Melonball has played at leading punk festivals such as Manchester Punk Festival, Punk Rock Holiday, Ruhrpott Rodeo, and Mighty Sounds. Sharing stages with punk icons like Lagwagon, A Wilhelm Scream, Authority Zero, Belvedere, Bad Cop Bad Cop, and Satanic Surfers, the band tours extensively, including notable runs across the UK, Eastern Canada, and Europe. With a rigorous schedule of around 40 shows annually, Melonball continues to captivate punk audiences worldwide with their compelling fusion of melody, musicianship, and message.
