About Janus Lester

Janus Lester is the evocative musical project of Basque artist Jokin Pinatxo, hailing from Bera. Emerging in 2022, the project channels the restless energy of sleepless nights and embraces the paradox of feeling both on the run and at home. Janus Lester’s soundscapes explore themes of insomnia, temporal displacement, and conscious dreaming, painting vivid portraits of those caught between wakefulness and slumber. Rooted in the imagery of closed doors and open eyes, the music speaks to dreamers who resist the harshness of today and dwell in the liminal space between past and future.

With a collective of talented collaborators including Mattin Arbelaitz, Garazi Esnaola, Javi Echarri, Ane Bastida, Andoni Arriola, and Julen Suarez, Janus Lester crafts atmospheric compositions designed to ignite long, coffee-fueled nights.
