About Conan

Conan, the heavy music powerhouse from Liverpool, England, has been a defining force in the doom and stoner metal scenes since their formation in 2006. Spearheaded by guitarist and vocalist Jon Davis, the band is known for pioneering "caveman battle doom"—a fierce fusion of crushing, down-tuned sludge, brooding doom metal, epic power, and fuzz-drenched stoner riffs. Early in their career, Conan experimented with various lineups while releasing raw, intense EPs such as "Battle in the Swamp" (2007) and "Horseback Battle Hammer" (2010), alongside several collaborative splits that helped shape their brutal sound.

The group eventually stabilized around Davis, bassist Chris Fielding, and drummer Paul O’Neil. However, lineup changes persisted; O’Neil was replaced by Rich Lewis prior to their Napalm Records debut, "Blood Eagle" (2014). This album marked a significant amplification of their signature sound, featuring heavy, riff-driven compositions that solidified their reputation. Subsequent releases like "Revengeance" (2016) and "Existential Void Guardian" (2018)—which introduced drummer Johnny King—demonstrated Conan’s continued evolution and unyielding intensity.

With their relentless low-end assault and commanding stage presence, Conan have earned a dedicated global following, captivating fans who crave thunderous, unapologetically heavy music that pushes the boundaries of doom metal.
