About Silvana Estrada

Silvana Estrada, born in 1997 in Xalapa-Enríquez, Mexico, is a distinguished singer-songwriter whose music blends poetic lyricism with deeply emotional storytelling. Raised in a home surrounded by musical instruments and the natural sounds of rivers and coffee plantations, Estrada developed an early and profound connection to both poetry and melody. This unique upbringing shaped her atmospheric folk sound, which echoes the elements of water and earth from her childhood environment.

Estrada’s artistry revolves around the idea of songs as “sung poetry,” expressing urgent and honest truths. Her creative process often traverses the spaces between silence and sound, allowing her to delve into the complexities of the heart and human emotion. She writes daily, continuously evolving her craft while honing her guitar skills and drawing inspiration from extensive travel and reading.

Her breakthrough came with the album "Marchita" (2022), a reflective journey through love, loss, and healing. Although many tracks confront the pain of heartbreak, the record ultimately offers renewal and hope, symbolizing a cycle of withering and rebirth. Prior to this, her warmly received debut "Abrazo" (2018) laid the foundation for her rising stature in Latin American folk music.

A Latin Grammy winner signed to Glassnote Records, Silvana Estrada has garnered critical acclaim for transforming personal vulnerability into universal emotional experiences. Her introspective yet accessible approach continues to resonate with audiences worldwide, solidifying her place as a compelling voice in contemporary Mexican music.
