About The Shelter

The Shelter is a dynamic Mexican rock band formed in 2021, celebrated for their distinctive fusion of post-punk intensity and electronic textures. Describing their style as "decadent music," they have quickly carved out a niche on the international music scene. Since their inception, The Shelter has toured extensively across Mexico, the United States, Canada, and Colombia, sharing stages with notable acts such as The Rasmus, Molotov, División Minúscula, Shame, Porter, Rey Pila, and La Vida Bohème.

Their rise was marked by key festival appearances, including Tecate Pa’l Norte, Hell & Heaven, Tecate Comuna, and El Dorado, alongside a memorable debut at New York’s iconic Bowery Electric. In 2024, The Shelter launched their first headline tour, performing in 25 Mexican cities—a milestone highlighting their growing appeal.

Collaboration plays a vital role in their evolving sound. They have worked with esteemed musicians like Alejandro Marcovich, Clemente Castillo, NETO ROXS, and Pollo Bruxo, as well as Diego Solorzano of Rey Pila, who produced one of their EPs. Their music further embraces international influence through remix projects with French underground artists Koudlam and Sydney Valette. Their current work is produced by Gus Oberg—known for his collaborations with The Strokes—and Johnny T, recorded in New York, signaling a bold step toward a broader global presence.

The Shelter continues to expand their sonic horizons while staying true to the vibrant energy and emotive depth that define their sound.
