About Greg Coulson

Greg Coulson is a British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist renowned for blending soul, classic rock, blues, funk, and jazz into a vibrant and compelling sound. Encouraged by his parents from an early age, Coulson launched his professional career at 19 when he joined the influential two-tone band The Selecter in 2010. He later expanded his experience touring extensively in the United States with the acclaimed rock ensemble Spiritualized, including opening for Queens of the Stone Age. A devoted admirer of Ian Dury, Greg also fulfilled a personal milestone playing with The Blockheads.

In 2018, Coulson released his debut solo album, "What’s New?," which received critical acclaim, earned him BBC Introducing Artist of the Week, and marked him as one of the UK’s most versatile contemporary musicians. His soulful vocals and expressive Hammond organ solos—infused with influences from Steely Dan, Randy Newman, Ray Charles, and Dr. John—have made his songwriting and live performances particularly captivating.

Beyond his solo projects, Greg has collaborated with legendary artists such as Burt Bacharach, appearing in the London stage production "Close to You: Bacharach Reimagined," as well as working with Morcheeba, Tom Grennan, Dani Wilde, and Alice Jemima. During the 2020 pandemic, he built a studio in Northampton, channeling his creativity while embracing fatherhood. Greg Coulson remains a dynamic and authentic figure in modern music, continually engaging audiences through his soulful artistry and world-class musicianship.
