GIMS, born in 1986 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, is a trailblazing Congolese-French rapper and singer who has become a monumental figure in Francophone music. After relocating to France, he swiftly rose to prominence, selling over six million albums worldwide by his mid-thirties. His discography boasts numerous hits that have resonated deeply with audiences, including the infectious "Bella," introspective "J'me tire," heartfelt "Est-ce que tu m'aimes," and the record-shattering "Sapés comme jamais" (2016), which earned him a prestigious Victoire de la Musique award.
