About Narco

Narco is a pioneering metal-rock band hailing from Seville’s working-class La Macarena neighborhood, formed in 1996 by a group of young musicians determined to transform their gritty environment into a powerful, raw sound. Blending metal, rock, and rap elements, Narco quickly carved out a unique space in Spain’s underground music scene. Their early work, including their debut album *Satán Vive* (1996), set the tone with provocative lyrics exploring themes like psychedelic experiences, chaotic urban nights, illegal dealings, and sharp critiques of authority and religious hypocrisy. Dark narratives involving serial killers and social outcasts further distinguished their storytelling.

After releasing six studio albums, Narco took a hiatus in 2003 but returned in 2008 with *Alijos Confiscados*, a career-spanning compilation that was supported by an extensive tour. Their 2010 album *Alita de Mosca* earned widespread critical acclaim and cemented their spot atop major Spanish festival stages. Following *Dios te odia* (year unspecified), the band embarked on a relentless three-year tour, which paused in late 2017 for the release of *Espichufrenia*. This album extended their influence beyond Spain, including tours across the UK.

After another break starting in December 2019, Narco made a strong comeback in September 2022, reinforcing their status as legends of Andalusian underground metal-rock. Known for their uncompromising sound and vivid storytelling, Narco remains a defining force in Spain’s heavy music landscape.
