About Muireann Bradley

Muireann Bradley is an Irish blues singer and guitarist hailing from Ballybofey, County Donegal. Born in 2006 and raised amid the rolling hills overlooking the River Finn valley, she was steeped in the rich traditions of country blues from an early age. Her father’s passion for the genre and his storytelling, combined with a constant soundtrack of classic blues recordings from the 1920s to the early 1970s, deeply shaped her musical identity. Bradley’s style pays tribute to the pioneering blues artists as well as to the revivalist musicians of the 1960s who resurrected this timeless sound.

In May 2023, Muireann Bradley burst onto the music scene with her debut album, a collection of country blues renditions recorded entirely live in the studio. Embracing a raw and authentic approach, she performs vocals and intricate guitar simultaneously, capturing each track in just one or two takes without overdubs or modern enhancements. This method echoes the recording practices of early blues legends, preserving the intimate and unfiltered spirit of the genre. Through this dedication to authenticity, Bradley both honors the heritage of traditional blues and introduces its enduring legacy to a fresh generation, establishing herself as a compelling new voice within the blues community.
