About Doechii

Doechii is a compelling artist who has rapidly risen from Tampa’s vibrant music scene to become a transformative force in contemporary hip-hop and rap. Currently based in Los Angeles, she blends her Southern roots with alternative influences to create a unique sound that defies easy categorization. Her 2023 mixtape, *Alligator Bites Never Heal*, features 19 tracks that showcase her versatility and fearless creativity, weaving together multiple genres and eras into a cohesive, forward-thinking sonic experience.

Doechii first gained widespread acclaim with her Eurodance-inspired single "Alter Ego," praised by R&B superstar SZA as "the craziest song I’ve heard all year." However, it was her breakthrough track, "What It Is (Block Boy)," which amassed over 600 million streams worldwide and solidified her status as a rising star. This success opened high-profile opportunities, including opening for Beyoncé in Los Angeles and joining Doja Cat’s Scarlet Tour.

Recognized as the self-styled Swamp Princess, Doechii is both a Grammy-winning artist and an outspoken LGBTQ+ advocate, known for blending vibrant Southern hip-hop with experimental sounds. Her commanding presence and artistic fearlessness position her as one of the most exciting voices of her generation, continually pushing the boundaries of modern rap and R&B while championing social causes with authenticity and innovation.
